- Introduce yourself (professional title such as author, novelist, poet, journalist, etc.)
My name is Ada Rizzo, I am an Italian writer, poet, translator, cultural promoter, counselor, mindfulness facilitator, amateur journalist, volunteer in Africa, and Peace Ambassador. I am known for my cultural and social commitment. I have published novels, poetry, and articles addressing themes such as human rights, gender violence, awareness, and psychological introspection.
- What is the name of your most popular upcoming book, project, or event?
So far, I have published prose books: “Did I Want the Twelve-Inch Heel?” which has a strong autobiographical connotation and addresses the theme of disability; “Iris Glass Wings,” which deals with the delicate issue of eating disorders; “Ninety Beats Per Minute,” based on a true story that tackles the profound and divisive topic of organ donation; and “Twenty-Four Carats,” which addresses the painful and unfortunately widespread issue of gender violence. Lastly, I published a fairy tale titled “Zoë and the Orange Balloon,” which is inspired by a real-life event that happened to me. Soon, I will publish my first poetry book titled “The Enchantment (Emotions and Reflections),” a crossover volume of poetry and prose reflections.
- Have you won any awards, certificates, honors, stickers, or other recognitions that you would like to share with the world?
I have received many international recognitions for my novels and for my cultural and social commitment in promoting human rights, defending women victims of violence, inclusion, and Peace. Many of these arementioned in my biography available on the Wikitia website: https://wikitia.com/wiki/Ada_Rizzo
- What are your hobbies?
I am a great enthusiast of cinema, art, music, cooking, and psychology.
- What is the best thing about your achievements?
My literary activity in prose and poetry, as well as my cultural promotion and social commitment, represent a great passion for me. I have never been attracted to visibility and fame. Therefore, all the recognitions and appreciations I have received are, for me, every time, a welcome but somewhat unexpected gift that does not fully describe the objective of my work. Literature and social commitment are also tools for me to support human rights and Peace.
